ASSESSMENT PLAN

Assesment is an ongoing process that informs parents of the teaching in each class.

Therefore assessment can take place in the form of
· pre-testing
· assessing at the end of a unit of work or
· after a particular topic
· standardised/diagnostic

Assessment tasks can be located in children’s books or in the child’s Assessment File.

Assessments can be found for each KLA.

Whole School Assessment Plan:

A Whole School Assessment Plan is implemented to ensure ongoing assessment takes place with the use of Diagnostic Tests throughout the year.

Burt Word Test
Boehm
Waddington Spelling
Waddington Reading
Holborn Reading
Daniels and Diack Comprehension
South Australian Spelling
Running Records
Observational Survey (Year 1)
Clinical Interviews (Establish Growth Points)
Ravens (Identifying Gifted students)
Slossans (Identifying Gifted students)

Results of these tests are kept in electronic form and managed by the Librarian.
